Something along those lines. I figured listing maintenance by the owner of the MUD would be necessary... a disclaimer in the listing/sorting by status might would be prudent stating something like "MUDs which claim to be actively developing" or something that does clarify it is responsibility of the manager of the listing to maintain the accurate status of the listing.

This may not even really be necessary, but its something that if it were used correctly I think could be good. More than likely I simply won't list the game I keep up for archival purposes (a single listing at TMC is enough, I figure), and I don't know if any one else would bother listing something at a new place unless they were intending on actually running the game.

My Mud, 4 Dimensions, is not in the list here, and to be sure, the input in our listing on TMC hasn't been touched in ages. That doesn't however mean that the mud is not active and being continuously developed. There just hasn't been any reason for us to change any info in the TMC listing.

I suspect the the same can be said for a lot of the older and well established Muds on TMC, so the problem may be general.


Wow, Molly, how right you are!

I've been going through the TMC top 100 list, have gotten down to about 35 or so. Probably 27 or 28 of those weren't already listed here as part of the import. I'm going through the top 100 and adding/updating them manually. It's not too bad, only takes 5-6 minutes per listing, and strangely I find it quite satisfying. The site is starting to look a bit better as well.

Thank you for pointing that out, else I might have missed out on a lot of valuable content.
