Come to the island of New Yarsith, the new capital of the Kingdom of Lithmore (for reasons unknown to most). There is a brand new Queen on the throne, but instead of a royal palace, she currently resides in a less-than palatial keep on a small island that was ravaged by a horrible war just a decade or so ago.

To make matters even stranger, no one in the know has really explained why the last Queen chose the woman, a distant relative, to be the next Monarch. And what exactly happened to the Count and Countess who served as temporary monarchs during the succession crisis caused by the late Queen's will?

Meanwhile, the Holy Order of King Dav is still going strong, protecting the populace (with the help of the knights and reeves) and allegedly saving souls by burning those who practice the dark arts (i.e., magic).

An RP-enforced MUD (we do have public channels), experience in the Burning Post II is earned through role-play, as is all character advancement.

The code has been updated substantially since we opened, and we'd love new players to join our loyal player-base! Magic has received a lot of attention lately, and we've gotten rid of features players found irritating, such as penalties for not eating or drinking.

Applications aren't required for most concepts, so you can design your character and jump right into the game. In fact, it is easier than ever to join the game, as most of the game's "story" up to this point has been changed, somehow, for some reason. But the reason does not matter, really, as no one remembers what "actually" happened.

In short, there's no need to read through 100's of storyboards! One and you're done!

Hope to see you in New Yarsith!
